Guest guest
I thought this may help, as I have had this happen to me, not to many times but the mere thought of it makes me nausea!, and when I experienced them it was always out of nowwhere, and upon rising usually from bed, I would bounce of the walls getting to the BR., then quickly back to bed and would have to stay there fixing my eyes to one area, and not even move slightly. I never had it checked, but scarey feeling, and had to hold onto things each time I got up to BR otherwise bed till gone. Now this happened to my mom one night and the room spun severally that she puked and puked, had to call neighbor, ER as the vomiting would not stop, they admited her, to keep watch, keep from dehydration. She was diagnoised with vertigo, she was grounded from driving for several weeks, had to use a can to control balance, help walking for first week home from Hosp. and on macronaze med for spins. She was also taught exercises to do to help with spin control will try and type it out for u maybe help. While laying down on your side, slowly sit up after sitting on side of bed, couch turn your head to the left, then lay back down on side get back up and turn your head opposite way do this for a count of 5 increasing to 10 each day. They told her she had harding of the fluid we have in our ears? Hope this may help with fixing dizziness. I don't know why I get it. I had awoken that morning with the first replication of my first attacks of what I now know is fibro in many years. When I stood up after reaching down for whatever it was I was after, I felt as if the room was spinning and that I wasn't certain I would not fall. I then stumbled back to the computer, called the massage therapist to cancel an appointment I had later that afternoon. I had been having episodes of what I am calling " listing " (forgot what sister the nurse described it in medical terms), I called doctor's office, she out on her day off (amazingly, she apparently uses that day to go to see patients in hospice and also home bound patients!) Told her assistant what was happening, she said if it gets worse go to emergency room, otherwise call back Friday am. I am finding myself staggering some when I walk up the stairs to the bedroom and bathroom, so I mention all of this to husband! He says I am " just light headed from bending over! " Talk to sister the nurse, she says could be inner ear problems. Anyone out there who has had similiar problems? and if so, have you seen a doctor and what may they have diagnosed condition as??? I know some people could call me by the old term " she's dizzy " which had an entirely different meaning but this is becoming very annoying! And with that question, I have several other things to do on computer and then it is back to bed for me!

I did have the problem of vertigo a few years ago while I was still working and called doctor who said " go to emergency room " . They gave me antivert and I think about the same time I was having occular migraines --- I did not keep the second appointment with the eye specialist as friend had been through the same thing and she said the one test they gave her made her sick. Interesting one can by antivert over the counter, may see if I can find that! > >
