I've had two kids since being diagnosed with PSC... one is now 7 and the other is 3, and so far they are normal healthy kids (well, I like to think they're quite a bit above average, but then I'm justa bit biased! ;-) ). Since PSC does tend to run in families, there is a slightly higher chance of the children of someone with PSC also having the disease, but since it's such a rare disease the odds are still pretty low that your kids would have it. I'm trying to remember if we have any parents and children in this group who both have PSC, and right now I can't think of any... I know we've had members with siblings or cousins who also had the disease... Anyone else know? The decision whether to have kids or not is, of course, personal, but as you can tell we made the decision to go ahead and haven't regretted it for a second! Hope that helps! athan
