Guest guest
I used the service when I was looking for a Dr. who used photoderm. They will only give you three names at a time; If you want more, you have to call back. Also, they can't tell you if the Dr. has used the machine on faces or not. I called the first three names they gave me, and none of them had ever used it on faces - they used it primarily to treat leg veins and remove unwanted hair. So, I called back and got three more names. Of those three, two had only used it on legs, and the third said, " oh no, we don't use that machine anymore. " The woman who said that wouldn't give me anymore information. That really scared me and I almost dropped the idea of getting photoderm. I called back the next day and asked if they treay faces and the woman said " faces? why would we treat faces? We're a vein clinic. " So, I guess that they are just like the other places I called; I don't think they even know that rosacea exists. I called the referral line a third time, and again, the Drs. that they referred me too had never used it on faces. At that point, I started calling all of the dermatologists in the phone book. After doing that for a while, I decided that I was never going to find a Dr. in chicago who had used the photoderm for rosacea, and I made an appt. with Dr. Finklemeyer in Indianapolis even though it is a three hour drive. I wouldn't want to discourage anyone from calling the referral line. You might have better luck with it than I have. Just make sure that when you call the Dr's office, you ask if they've ever used it on faces, and make sure they know what rosacea is. I think it's much better to travel a bit further to get someone who has experience in treating rosacea.
