Guest guest
I take Zofran whenever the nausea gets really bad. However, it does make me light-headed. Once I couldn't keep much down orally and had too much diarrhea for suppositories due to UC. My GI prescribed some Promethazine Gel (Phenegran) that was a liquid that had to be kept in the frig. I used a syringe without a needle to measure the liquid and warmed it up in my hands. When warmed, the liquid turned to a gel. Then I applied it to the inside my wrist every 4 to 6 hours. It would dry on my wrist and absorb into my skin. After an hour or so, I would wash the residue off my wrist. It did cause some drowsiness. Also a special pharmacy had to mix up the compound. I don't recall the cost. But it worked and I wondered why children weren't ever offered this option as it was so simple. Just some thoughts. I'm also experiencing nausea and have recently been diagnosed with bile reflux gastritis. So I'm taking Prilosec OTC and Carafate. I'll let you know if these help with the nausea. Hopefully, your symptoms will stop soon. Good luck. Beth
