Guest guest
Today I took the cash box to the bank and after deducting the costs the total profit that will be sent to PSC Partners Seeking a Cure is $622.35. The check will go out with the mail on Friday. Bud and Bettyanne have offered to donate Beanie's and Greenery again next year, Amy who owns the studio has said we can do it again next year, and my grandmother and aunt have offered to help again next year. I think we may even have more orders next year so I will need some additional volunteers and an air conditioned space to work on the bouquets (a church meeting room would be best). This year the Hampton Inn gave us their meeting room for free but I don't what we would have done without it because 375 is a lot more roses than I had pictured and we needed one table for each volunteer plus lots of room to lay the completed bouquets. The ones without the bears we put in buckets but we layed the ones with bears down. It was a lot of work but it made us feel good to know that we were helping. Also, the roses smelled wonderful and seeing how happy the children were to have the roses after their recitals made us really feel good, especially seeing the small children with them. Our cost were right at $600 but they will be lower next year because we already have some of the things we needed such as extra water tubes (I bought 1000 and we used less than 400). I also have some extra tissue paper and cellophane. I really want to thank Bud and Bettyanne for donating the greenery and Beanie Babies!
