Guest guest
Hi Gail, I'm ,one of a few men here, I know the relief to know what I've suffered from for a few years has a name. THE MONSTER is a common name for it here as it lurks in wait to pounce on US when WE least expect. In time you will learn much about this DISease but like most of US you will never stop seeking more knowledge about this affliction. Well mom wants her puter so I will close for now. Gail I HOPE YOU find the Love, encouragement and support I have found sincejoining back in April 07. GOD Bless YOU ! ! ! . . . ........................................ . . . My name is Gail Dennis and I'm56. I recently discovered that I have fibromyalgia quite by accident. It'sfunny how we can take daily aches and pains and pass them off for somethingelse at least that's what I did. After a routine visit to my gynecologist,he told me that I have Costochondritis after a routine breast exam. I hadpain for quite some time passing it off as build-up of fluids from myimpending cycles. He told me the pain I was experiencing was coming from myribs as he proceeded to apply pressure around the chest area. The pain wasincredible. Once I got home I looked up Costochondritis on the internet andwas led to fibromyalgia. After reading all the symptoms I was floored, theywere describing me. I have all the symptoms and here I was suffering allthese years thinking I was crazy. What a relief to have a name put to allthis pain, exhaustion and IBS. I'm sure all of you have very similar storiesto tell. I just had to quit my job because my flare-up is so bad right now.I am blessed with a wonderful husband who understands what I'm going throughbut then again I've suffered for years without knowing it was fibromyalgia. He's as relieved as I am to finally know what we are dealing with. As youcan imagine, I have my nose in books, searching the internet and talkingwith other sufferers for tips.I do want to thank the moderators so much for putting the tip about Salonpason the group's homepage. Hubby got them for me yesterday and what a helpthey are. I only wished they didn't smell so that I could leave them on whenI go out. Quick way to clear a room. LOLI also wanted to mention to those of you who suffer from IBS some stuff thatI take which has helped me tremendously. It's drug free; it's calledIrritable Bowel Syndrome by Digest Advantage. You take it once a day and canpurchase it at Wal-Mart. You do have to stay on it for about 1-2 weeks tosee results but it worked for me and I suffer with all the IBS symptomsincluding horrible cramping. Hope this helps someone. Anyway I'm glad to behere and hope I can make you smile with my crazy sense of humor.Gail D. _________________________________________________________________ Helping your favorite cause is as easy as instant messaging.
