Guest guest
Hi, My name is Rita and I just recently joined this rosacea group. Im 28 years old and live in Southern California. Im happy I found this group to join and hope I can learn a few things. Ive been diagnosed with a mild form of rosacea just recently although Ive had problems with facial flushing from as early as I can remember. I turn beet red after exercising and cant even go see a dermotologist without turning all blotchy. I rememeber being embarassed in my teenaged years and how my red race caused more embarassment. As a result I feel like I shy away from a lot of situations that otherwise wouldnt bother me. I took doxycycline for a while and also tried MetroGel and most recently MetroLotion. Id rather not stay on anything I need to take internally but the MetroLotion causes my race to get even more red and then I start breaking out on my cheeks and nose just a couple days after using it. Ive only been with this group for one day and already Ive read about Photoderm treatments and betablockers. I hope to hear more about these. I was even considering having a surgical treatment that is used to treat both excessive sweating and facial blushing but this is really expensive and has some side effects so Im hoping to find some alternatives.
