25 days post surgery

Hi everyone,

I was to see the nutrition department and the doctor yesterday. They

were very pleased with the progress I've made since my surgery on Aug

31st. My sugars are stabilizing and my blood pressure was great and I

lost a total of 26 lbs since the surgery.

I have now been promoted to soft foods... chicken, turkey, tuna, fish,

salmon, imitation crab meat, etc... This morning I made some tuna

salad (tuna, miracle whip, hard boiled egg, relish).... made 1 cup

total. Also made chicken salad (cooked chicken and chopped up fine,

miracle whip, onion, hard boiled egg and seasoned salt)....made

approx. 2 cups. I start my vitamins today. I still am not allowed

any starches, veggies or fruit (probably in another month or two).

Also to continue with the prior stages of food I had been on. Need

to get 60 grams of protein and 48 oz. of liquid per day.

I am returning to my full time job on Monday. I am administrator of an

agency, so I do primarily desk work. My EMS job will be on hold most

likely until December or January.

I go back to the doctor again in a month, at which time I get my B12

shot and start taking my calcium.

Just wanted to let you guys know how I was doing in my first month and

what stages they have me on.
