Since Cleveland Clinic > Foundation (CCF) has so many concerns about my pancreas and clotting disorder I'm > wondering if there'll be more risk involved with a partial liver than a whole > one. When CCF first mentioned their concerns I began to think it may not be > worth the risk to my donor, if ultimately my pancreas is going to shut down, > therefore the new liver not giving me as much time as we'd like. Then there's > the clotting disorder, and I'd now like to know if there'll be greater risks for > clots when connecting the various bile ducts. I had these questions but had > forgotten all about them. Thank goodness I have Deb in VA watching my back > (I've given her charge over my brain, 'cause I don't always do so well with it!) > and she reminded me to ask these questions. She's sooooo good to me! Bottom > line is, tomorrow could prove to eliminate my potential donor for one reason > or another -- his or mine, and I'd like to ask for additional prayers that God > be in charge of the situation. > > Thanks in advance and I'll post when I return from my appointment. > > (MO) > PSC & UC '84, chronic pancreatitis '97, listed for tx 06/05 > for details see www.caringbridge.org/visit/melaniejs >
