Guest guest
Hey Weirdo...I mean Donna! LOL! Vicks Vapor Rub! I'm dying! That is TOO funny! Can you even imagine if it were that simple? We'd all be OD'ing on Vapor Rub for a good nights sleep! It's VERY normal to experience any dreams prior to an expected " anything " that may be coming. I often dream about everything when I've planned it in advance. That's why I like being spontaneous! No thinking involved, and trust me (no comments Pam, Annie, or Lyssa!), but Blondie realllllllly likes not having to think! Look at the bright side...You're awake to tell us about it, so we know for sure, someone's watching over ya! Hang in there, and GO BACK TO BED! Dawn Bad dream Hi new friends, I just had the weirdest experience. I came home a bit early from work today because I wasn't feeling well - could it be stress LOL? I stopped at the health food store to get the supplements I'll be taking after surgery, along with some echinacea tea. I took the supplements, had a cup of tea and went to bed for a quick nap. Well, three hours later, I woke up after experiencing the scariest dream of my life. All my fears were addressed in this dream. My husband and kids were in it, a friend who is sick and whom I often worry about was in it, a family in crisis that I work with professionally, some weird anesthesiologist who wanted to to use Vicks Vapor Rub for my anesthesia for the surgery, my surgeon and a bunch of other people were in this dream. Nothing bad happened in the dream but it made me aware of the many things I worry about. Fortunately, I have this recurring dream of how I feel waking up from surgery - I'm okay! This happened again today so I'll take it as a sign. I feel a lot better now and I guess I'll take it as a sign to slow down and take better care of myself. With little over a week to go until surgery, my anxieties are up quite a bit. Thanks for listening - please don't think I'm a weirdo. I just needed to tell someone! Guest guest
Donna Having weird dreams is totally normal. Before surgery, I dreamt of food, and now after surgery, I recently had a dream that I ate an entire wedding cake by myself!!! I know this is impossible, but I woke up a little shaken. Try not to worry too much about waking up. I was soooo afraid about waking up from the anestesia, but when I did, I remember vagually that I was not scared at all. I was extremely groggy, mumbled a few words, and never opened my eyes in the recovery room.!! The memory of recovery is so faint that I have no clue what I did or what I said. That whole first day is such a blur, and I am thankful for that. You can probably count on being clueless during that time. Good luck on your upcoming surgery Dr. R.
