All,

You can buy " To the Edge and Back: My Story from Organ Transplant

Survivor to Olympic Snowboarder " by Klug and Steve

from Amazon.com for $10.00 plus S & H for a new copy, less for a

used copy:

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-

/0786714220/qid=1144899054/sr=1-4/ref=sr_1_4/103-9998174-3552633?

v=glance & s=books

You can also buy it at Borders. They will special order it for you

(last year when I bought it, they had a few on the shelves, but when

I went back to get another copy last month, it was a special

order). If you sign up for their Borders Rewards Program, you will

get a 30% off coupon once you register your card online and provide

your email address. So I ordered the book which listed at $14.00 and

used my 30% discount coupon to pay for it when it came in (with tax,

it was like $10.00). If you're already in the Borders Rewards

program, you get 20-25% discount coupons every few weeks via email

and you can use them as well.

Now, if you're really strapped, here's a free way to read Chris'

story. I don't recommend it because I think and his

collaborator, Steve , deserve the royalties they get from

each book sale. Let me also add that professional snowboarders are

not raking in the big bucks like football or baseball players...

That being said,

In March 2001, Westword.com published Steve 's articles about

Klug which eventually were expanded and refined to result in

the book. They are available as:

" The Bounce-Back Kid Professional snowboarder Klug carves his

way back to the top of the mountain " BY STEVE JACKSON

http://www.westword.com/Issues/2001-03-08/news/feature.html

" The Kid Bounces Back: A boy's death gives snowboarder Klug a

second chance at life and the Olympics " BY STEVE JACKSON

http://www.westword.com/Issues/2001-03-15/news/feature2.html

I read both of these articles and then went out and bought the book.

Now that has signed my copy, it's priceless!
