Maybe this is dumb, but how do we TAN ?

Ive been around the sun all my life, one reason why I had such bad

rosacea probobly. Now that I cant go out in the sun (at least my

face), how can I get a tan ? I saw a while back there was injectable

melanin or something like that that would allow you to get a sunless

tan. What about those tanning creams ? Or should I just give up and

have to be pale ? Btw, thanks for all the help so far everyone :)
