Guest guest
Annie, Have your PCP or rheum (sometimes they are in same group practice) refer you to an endocrinologist. They will do the appropriate testing and direct you - I believe yours can stay in and be treated with meds, but sometimes they still want to take them out and make sure the parathyroids (which, btw have totally different functions!) are okay. Best wishes to you; please keep us posted and get this checked out! Darlene (who has suffered with thyroid disease since 1987 and on meds since then) > Hashimoto's thyroiditis - I have been diagnosed with this. I was not told that it would kill my thyroid. I have not been concerned about my thyroid as I am on a low dose of medicine and was never told to be concerned. > > What do I need to do, what doctor can tell me more? > > Thanks, > Annie > > --------------------------------- > Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Yahoo!
