Guest guest
I'm stumped. All of the sudden I've been notified that I have to go to Court against a local credit bureau for outstanding hospital bills. These bills start 6 years ago! I had been making payments ($50-$100 a month) until I just couldn't afford it. I've done all of the indigent claims I can do, so that's not an option. I just got off the phone with the company and the balance is over $10,000!!! Even if I pay $100 a month it is going to take me 8 years to pay it off! Then you add in the interest. I can NOT afford for my wages to get garnished. This is something I have never dealt with and I need help. I do not qualify for food stamps, etc. because of my fiancee's income so that won't help alleviate the stress. Does anyone have any ideas? in NM
