Guest guest
I had significant improvement with Mino in 6 weeks, noticable improvement in 2 weeks. It helps with the redness, the bumps, and the texture of the skin. Minocycline > Those of you who've used minocycline: > > Does it help any better than Tetracycline? Guest guest
RE: minocycline (Minocin) I had taken tetracycline, doxycycline & erythromycin, prior to taking Minocycline. I had been off all antibiotics for a while when I started the Mino. Without a doubt, the Minocin has been the most effective antibiotic for me BY FAR. When I take it, it eliminates all symptoms. It eliminates the redness & raised bumpy itchy skin and seemed to act (for me) pretty quickly (within 2 weeks). I am sure that everyone's experience is probably different but I have been VERY HAPPY with Minocin. Note: My Derm says erythromycin is NOT that great for rosacea. Something about the difference between the mycins & the cyclines' effect on bacteria. He does not prescribe erythromycin for rosacea for that reason.
