Guest guest
I haven't heard that myself specifically related to almonds...it does seem, however, that I've recently seen something posted in this list regarding nuts in general. All I can say is I eat a lot of nuts and don't seem to have a problem. Tony rheumatic mycoplasma and almonds I saw a reference about mycoplasma being helped by almond oil- sorry for my poor paraphrasing!! I eat a fair amount of almonds and am curious about this- if anyone has any more information, please let me know. If I have to delete another item from my ok food list, I’ll scream!! Guest guest
Ginny and Tony, I don't know about almonds, but I have sworn off peanuts and peanut-related food products because I think that they have sent me into flares. In general, the wrong fats and oils can aggravate RA symptoms -- in my case peanut oil and most anything sold at Mc's. Olive oil is generally considered to be safe, while fish oils are beneficial. Guest guest
Peanuts have arachadonic acid which causes inflammation. In addition, I believe they also have a particular mould which may bother people with sensitivities. For years, I ate peanut butter and drank orange juice at breakfast until a naturopath explained that they both promote inflammation. What a way to start the day! Guest guest
Thank you Harald! Lately, I've been eating more peanuts, less almonds! And hurting more. Maybe this is a piece of the puzzle. I'd never have thought of it! M. << Ginny and Tony, I don't know about almonds, but I have sworn off peanuts and peanut-related food products because I think that they have sent me into flares. Guest guest
Hi Harald! Geoff here. You mentioned earlier that beef fat is antagonistic for you. FWIW regarding Mcs, they make great use of beef fat, they even fry their French Fries in it for the flavor. At least they have since forever but what with this last law suit they put to rest what, a month or two ago, I don't know what they're doing now... just before the suit and more.
