Guest guest
Hmmmm. Seems to be a coordinated conpiracy, one of our dogs woke the wife, I remained blissfully sleeping(lol). 'Course, she used different verbiage to describe my beautiful doggie. Guess "Dang", is just one of those polite southern words..........Don't have any cats......don't need any company in my head without permission.....Give it to him, ! My wife made me well aware of her dis-pleasure. I guess I'm in charge of the dogs, even when I'm sleeping......Oh, well....so modem be! Guest guest
Okay, I just couldn't let this one slide without saying something.A few years or so back when I was still living in Minnesota, one of my cats started communicating with me. It stunned me at first, I wasn't expecting it from him. The snake, yes, the cat? No! I had let him go outside one day in the fall and hadn't seen him or heard him the rest of the day. As night approached, I became increasingly concerned. It was the time of the year when the temperature starts to take a major dip especially at night. I called for him repeatedly but he never showed up. I stayed up until well past midnight hoping to hear something . . .I awoke the next morning and went to the door to call for him again. Nothing. I sat down at my computer to start working for the day. After a little while I heard a sound coming from outside. It sounded like a lost kitten so sad and all alone out in the cold. I went to look for it, called, but never saw anything. The sound kept up after I went back inside. I kept getting up every 15 minutes to look around and call again. Nothing. This went on for awhile. Finally, I went to the door one last time and was about to go out to search again when Pumpkin Head came racing in past me and plopped himself down in the middle of the living room. I closed the door quickly and turned to look at him. He appeared to be no worse for the wear, other than being cold. Knowing there was fresh food down for him, I returned to work on my computer. He finally budged from his spot in the middle of the living room floor to trot into the kitchen and eat. As he went by, I clearly heard this long string of expletives that would have made a sailor blush! Pumpkin!!!Postscript:About a week or so later he opted to speak with me again. I was trying to dress in the morning, getting ready for my day. I was attempting to get my bra on (sorry if this is an overshare, but it really is cute!), and Pumpkin sat on my bed nearby and kept swiping his paw at it as if to make fun of it. In complete exasperation with him, I told him to leave it alone and let me dress, at which point I heard him quite clearly say, "I don't know why you wear that silly contraption anyway!" I couldn't help but think "contraption" is a pretty big word for a one year old kitty. Still laughing!CassieFrom: <knightsintention@...>Subject: [] Dang Mornings Date: Friday, August 22, 2008, 10:49 AM Dang dog...they & %#% & * with humans who are sleeping more peaceful than themselves don't they? Guest guest
And he understands " concepts " ....incredible cat. We have one " smokie jr " ...smokie sr looks just like him but hasn't been seen in a year, except a quick pass by on the street ever so often...too many females in the neighborhood to come back anymore. He's fat as a small car...and there he walks down the middle of the street at night as if to say... " I'm bad, I know it, you know it, they know it too " . I'll call to him and he just stops and glances over as if I've broken his stride...Garfield would be pleased by such disdain. Now smokie jr has learned fast. We have a huge lad that around here we have to put on the chain when we let him out because he's a jumper and the dog man around here kidnaps them once they leaves the fence kind of thing. He goes to the door and outright says " OUT " ...sorta yawns it out. He only barks for the attention, then talks out loud. Well, smokie jr has learned how this works, so he comes in and goes out by the same way....not meow...but... " ouuuutttwl " . Stands there and just looks at you like it's my job to run the door for him. And you can't ignore him either...and if I don't, he runs and tells ....crys, that I am being unreasonable to the poor little kitty....and I get yelled at. But it's the black on...the solid black female that does the Jedi mind tricks on you. The same cat that gets on my laptop to screw with me...has tore off the 1 and I think the Tab buttons, I suppose that's what that " was " . Lays there and sleeps after doing " searches " . I will have to shut down because there are searches going on for things like " sppirrrrrrrrrrrrrrittttutttttttttttttt " or " caaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa " , even " mussssseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee " in 500 windows. Not sure what the deal is but it's getting old. I told her if she thinks she's so smart to send me an email. She just laughs...I hear here, flutters her eyes, as if to say " you pitiful little human " . has that cat and had another one before it caught some kind of flu...andd they both would go to bed with her, lie on either side of her and not bubge till she did, and they stayed with her, the black one does too most of the time, and lays on the keyboards while 's online... just types away like it's nothing. I'm sounded by aliens.... > From: <knightsintention@...> > Subject: [] Dang Mornings > > Date: Friday, August 22, 2008, 10:49 AM > > > > > > > > > > > > Dang dog...they & %#% & * with humans who are sleeping more peaceful than > > themselves don't they? > > > > Dang cats...what are they thinking when they watch you sleep...did > > they put the dogs up to waking up humans sleeping so good? > > > > Dang dog...do dogs swing?
