Zena,

Wish I had some kind of helpful information but the truth of the matter is I just don't know. If it were me I'd probably be very cautious but that's me. Is there any way you can get to talk to some one of the doctors to get some advice on how to carry on for the time being?

It's a real 'catch 22' to need to lose weight and not be able to exercise. The chest pain would make me uncomfortable as I've always been told that there are no pain receptors in our lungs. (Though from the level of chest pain folks here have, I have come to doubt the truth of that.)

I'm thinking of you and hope that things get sorted out quickly!

Pulmonary Hypertension questions

Sorry to be going on about this, but I've realised that after I was told I have PH, I didn't ask anything about it other than where will the specialist be. Too much info yesterday I think.

Anyway, does anyone know what I should be doing re exercise? I mean up until I get to see the specialist. I must have early stages of PH as I didn't have it 2 months ago, I don't have any external symptoms as far as I know, (although there are some that I'm wondering whether they are due to the PH or something else) breathlessness etc are all part of the PF anyway, I don't have swollen ankles and I don't feel any arrythmia. I do get intermittent chest pain, but I've done that for a while and it's always been put down to the PF.

So should I be resting up until I get told otherwise or should I keep trying to keep up the walking. I know I'm not supposed to carry much, but again with the PF I wasn't carrying much anyway!

Thanks for any help

Love Ze xx

Saw my GP today. Blood pressure was 110 over 56, drugs keep it there, Cholesterol was 112 thank you pills, CPK was 165 which shows my Polymositis is under control, thank you Prednisone. So my blood work up was very good. He said I am in good health except for having a fatal lung disease LOL Still no expression date on my cute little buns. I might just make it to Boone first birthday in Nov. PSher Bauman wrote: ...thanks for these sites. I checked them out. Hey, don't stop posting because Bruce posts! Your sources may be different. ....of course you will "make it" to Boone's first b'day! And beyond. Heck, other than a fatal lung disease you're in good shape..... lol.
