4/14/08 Joyce's hospital contact info

Hi all,Just spoke w/ Joyce and she is settling in her room at the hospital. Lucian is sleeping in the chair after the day's events and walking back and forth to the car 3-4 times to get her creature comforts to make the stay less miserable. We only talked briefly so she didn't tell me the tale, but she said today had been an experience... aren't they all? Apparently, there were adventures just getting her situated and she advised to never ever go to the hospital alone, "you've just gotta have someone else w/ you or they'll surely kill you." So far nothing has been done and nothing is scheduled yet. The only thing they've done is take her temp., which she said was a little high. Hopefully that doesn't become and issue and they will get the stuff over w/ already so she doesn't have to stress about it anymore. I can't wait for the relief she'll have w/ the 70% blockage resolved and she wants the pic line moved so she doesn't have to worry about the actual procedure. I think it gave us both chills just talking about it. Yuck! Anyhoo, she says hi to all. I will check in w/ her tomorrow, but for any who want to chat w/ her themselves you can ring her bell directly at .Kerry(can't think of a proper title... page, courier, hmmm... Joyce/Kerry

You're both pretty incredible. Thanks for the update, Kerry. She's lucky

to have you as a friend who " gets it " .

Now, Kerry, how are you doing? You can't pop in and just tell us about

Joyce. We care about you as well.

Sorry to say, I have no updates. I had a lot going on today and

finally decided to check on Joyce after dinner. I called and the

phone just rang and rang. After getting back home from gettting

dessert and getting the kids ready for bed, it was too late to call

again. I have to take my son to the doctor in the morning for an

ear tube check (he was having problems last night and they couldn't

see him today). I'll make sure to call and check on her when I get

home.

Kerry,

I tried to call too and got the same thing, just ringing and ringing. Maybe she had the ringer turned off so that she wouldn't be disturbed?

Thanks again for being our "eyes and ears" on the scene!
