Guest guest
Hi Kim! Sure we missed you! I was wondering why you didn't answer my post asking how the shoulder was. I'm glad you're back, and hope you've fixed your problems. I've had to reformat and start over on more than one occasion. There are several online storage places that you can use to backup your information before formatting, that are free. a ----- Original Message ----- From: DerbyKim <kim@...> <onelist> Sent: Friday, March 10, 2000 10:19 AM Subject: [ ] I'm back! > From: " DerbyKim " <kim@...> > > Whewwwwww! I'm sure nobody missed me, but I am relieved to be back online. I've had so many problems with my laptop lately, so instead of sending it off to be fixed, I decided to do it myself by reformatting my hard drive and re-installing all my software. The only thing I really lost was my Quicken Files, but they were corrupt before I started. Anyway, just had to vent now that that stress is over! > > >
Guest guest
Dear Sylvia: It is nice that you are back. I am glad the wedding went so well. You said you are moving to south Jersey. I live in Linden, NJ. Where do you live now and what town are you moving to? I feel like we are neighbors. Stay well and pain free. Sincerely, Anjillah@... PS I feel like getting rid of AOL myself. Guest guest
Welcome back, Sylvia! I missed you very much and I'm so happy to hear from you. Congratulations on your daughter's wedding. It sounds as if it went very well. Good news, too, about the new home! Buy a new computer and ISP along with it, OK? Can't let something like that stand between you and us. Maybe you will have broadband access there since it's new construction. Looking forward to being back in touch with you. ----- Original Message ----- From: <booper51@...> < > Sent: Saturday, March 24, 2001 11:42 PM Subject: [ ] I'm Back! > Hello everyone, > > I'm back. Guest guest
Hi Sylvia! I've thought about you often and hoped everything was going will with your daughter's wedding. I'm so glad everything went so well. It was a day that will be cherished forever. You may be moving close to me! I'm in South Jersey too. I'll bet you're so excited about moving into your new house. Sorry you've been having so much trouble with your email program. Have you tried updating your windows program? They regularly have patches for programs that conflict. Under the tools there is a link for the update. Until you get it straightened out, maybe you can post from the website, or open a Hotmail account. It must be frustrating. I just went through major computer problems after installing a new program, and know how aggravating it is. Glad to have you back, and hope you're feeling well. a ----- Original Message ----- From: booper51@... Sent: Sunday, March 25, 2001 12:42 AM Subject: [ ] I'm Back! Hello everyone, I'm back. Guest guest
, The plantar fascitis was awful last wk. I ordered a pair of Super Birkie Clogs and finally got them on Thurs. So I was able to wear them to work on Fri, and what a difference!! My feet hurt, but nowhere near like they have been. And over the wknd, I was able to actually be pain free. So, I think the Birkie's will be a good thing. If I continue to like them, I'm going to order another color. I ordered a dark blue, now I want a green. Those 2 match best with OR scrubs. e P.S. Guest guest
Yeah I got the email and posted it. I just got the mephisto shoes, girl these are the most awesome things on this planet. You should try to find some in your area, they are great. I also got the ph Seibel ones. I wanted to tell you that the cortisone injections finally kicked in now too, so I am feeling great. I hope they last at least 6 months this time or longer. I have been using an electrical stimulation machine too on my feet, it seems to be helping allot. Let me know if there is any thing else you want to know about the shoes, I can send you the links, The birks are fantastic too, I just can't wear them now as it is getting too cold. and I like the dressier looking JS shoes and Mephisto's. We were in Salt Lake and went to the Nordstrom's there, they have the Mephistos and has some sandals on sale, they are exactly the same foot bed as Birks only more streamline and less clunky, I got tan ones for 68 bucks, what a deal these are normally about $190! I also got some dressier sandals, black with a bit of heel for when we go some where dressy like church and for our cruise in March, these are darling, they were also closeouts at $99 bucks normally they are like 200 so if you look around there are many option out there for us! Guest guest
Hi Ladies, Isn't it amazing what a huge difference your shoes can make in relation to how you feel? Before I had my explant surgery, when I started getting ready for work in the mornings, I literally had to "first" figure out which shoes I thought I could stand, then select the rest of my wardrobe for the day, from my first selection of shoes. I found this humorous, as I previously always selected my shoes last! 'Amazing how drastically some things have to change due to making one really 'poor decision' in your life! Cherish those memories you did have with your Grandma, and the new ones made with , and she will never be forgotten. At the very least, she had almost a whole year with your little angel, and that's wonderful memories to to look forward to sharing with later in life. Guest guest
Yea!!!!! we missed you so much! With all and are going through, and the professionals burnt out from those that only email them in private (please don't do that!) not many of us " old timers " left to help all the new people. For those that don't know -'s story is throughout The Late Talker book -and she is one of my favorite people in the world. She is just an amazing mom -and friend. Hey , you promised me you would move to Florida if I moved here. With the education in various areas improving, and the Mc Kay scholarship for any child with an IEP after one year of school (details at) https://www.opportunityschools.org/Info/McKay/default.asp the education is very bright -and you can't beat the beauty and the weather which provides so many awesome opportunities for our boys - it's almost always 70 something and sunny (except yesterday was 85 and sunny!) and most here have heated pools out back so the kids can swim every day (for just one) Also this July The Scripps Research Institute http://www.scripps.edu/ is moving to the Palm Beaches/Treasure Coast and bringing with them some of the leading research doctors. And...if that all isn't enough -I've met many new friends here in Florida - Kim Vallen runs The Late Talker network out of Palm Beach, and Disney is a good meeting point too. I'm so glad your back!! =====

Guest guest
While we all know stress is dreadful it is very difficult at times to manage the stress so that it doesn't affect our health. Congratulations on getting through this exacerbation; let's all hope it is the last you ever have. I don't really know how to keep all of the stresses we endure from affecting us. I read a lot, and find some escape in that. Maybe one of the keys is to make time for yourself that is simply not ever yielded to anything else, so that you have your own time to look forward to for relaxation, a favorite activity, or whatever it takes for you. Good money managers will advise you to pay your savings account first; maybe we need to apply the same principle to creating a bit of time for decompression from the stresses in our lives. So the dishes don't get done til later, or even tomorrow. Oh well... no harm done compared to the harm constant stress can do. Guest guest
I have found that the best way to eliminate stress is to simply do the best that you can at whatever it is that you are doing. A person cannot do more than "The best that they can." Once you have done that , there is a peace. Also, "Let Go of the things that are out of your control". In addition, if you are fortunate enough to have Faith then trust in that. If you do not have Faith, ask for some, He will hear you and He will answer. I hope the MTX and Humira get you back on your feet again. I'm going to call my rheumy to see if I can get in to see her soon, but first have to wait and see what the surgeon says about my jaw because I understnad you can't have surgery and be on mtx or Remicade. Having a nasty Dercum flare right now, but am going to start my annual " what am I thankful for " list today. That always makes me feel better. Guest guest
Tawny, Do you know what the cause of the coughing is? Do you have bronchitis? Does your doctor know about this coughing? I¹m not sure it¹s a good idea to start mtx if you are having lung problems. Please let your doctor know about it. I¹m glad to see you back and hope you feel better soon. a > > I have missed everyone so much, so glad to be back!!! I'm having a > tough time right now, it seems like I'm just falling apart. Guest guest
a,....I haven't told the doctor about the lung problem, I was hoping it would go away. I can't afford to go to the doctor right now. Their going by my lab work when I was in the hospital, and the liver was in good shape. So, that was the problem before with the MTX. I know that it is risky to take the MTX, I'm still taking the Humira also, but I don't know what to do. I can't walk anymore. The left leg is like a piece of meat on my body, that feels alien, hard to explain. I'm having so much pain everywhere, I just can't hardly take care of myself right now, and that scares me. So, I'm just thinking of that, because I have no one to take care of me, but me. I will be careful, and if any further complications I will talk to the doctor, or go to the emergency. I'm just to the point I don't know what to do. I can't deal with this much longer, and with no insurance, well it's tough. So, I can only do so much to try to help myself stay mobile, and hope for the best. I will be careful, promise T > Tawny, > Do you know what the cause of the coughing is?
