:

I have never used the card and generally order either appetizer portions or a

full portion, while taking a good amount home, when it is food that will take

warming up. At Denny's or when wanting to order something that won't take

re-heating I do tell the waiter/waitress that I've recently had surgery and

can only eat a small amount and would like to order from the children's/sr's

menu. They've never been anything but nice.

Sincerely,

na (hathfrtt@...)

If I ate out at restaurants only occasionally, I don't think I would bother

with it, only because like you said, a regular meal is only a few dollars

more, and I could take the leftovers home. But for those that eat away

from home alot, it would be considerable savings to be able to order a

child's meal or be able to share. Some restaurants will let you share a

meal for a small fee. And about telling someone else like the waiter---hey,

you did what was necessary to improve your own life, what can they say

that's negative about that? <hugs>

I just don't think my pride would allow me to tell a perfect stranger that I

had had the surgery.....it seems to me its none of their business....in

addition the senior meal is usually only a buck or two cheaper...in truth,

is it really worth it?
