Answer to Riddle:

Question: What do you do with a dismissive doctor?

Answer: Dismiss him.

....you did well today in insisting he listen more. Still, it

sounds like he doesn't have time for his patient or won't make it. I

don't know may be the truth, but it merits some recommendation on how to

find out. Treading lightly so as not to anger him? Oh my, I'm not doing

that. My initial pulmonologist was very good but he just spends so much

hospital time, he has no office time. My current pulmonologist is

perfect for what I need now-not diagnosis, but help making the most of

things and quick response when I have problems. He is also extremely

open minded.

My regular pulmonologist is Dr. Betz, here in Plano, TX. I went to

Strek at University of Chicago for the recent evaluation. I can't recall

who it is I'm seeing tomorrow at UTSouthwestern in the Transplant

department.

No, I chose not to take prednisone. This was based on the fact everyone

seemed certain my form of PF was UIP which is the form not believed by

very many to benefit from prednisone and based on my history of mental

illness and not wanting to risk bringing it back to the surface.
