I don't know if this helps...post-op, I bought chicken and beef

broth, yogurt, and gatorade . I also bought " designer " protein powder from GNC.

It is a flavorless way to add protein to yogurt and broth.

I'm attempting tofu shakes this week, but as my boys say " Mommy, you make

lousy shakes! " ...They're right! I also bought Creatine,too. I focus on 3

things:Potassium,protein, and salt.And fluids,fluids,fluids. My understanding

is that when you break up a large multivitamin it increases your g.i. upset

because it's like rubbing iron on your stomach. Dr. R. recommended taking the

vitamin whole then " chasing it " w/ yogurt or citrucel. This pulls it into the

sm. intestine for absorption.

I never had heartburn in my life, and did have some trouble when I first

statred the Actigall. I tried Dr.R's altered schedule for the Actigall and it

worked great. I'm now back on track, have no reflux and feel better than I did

pre-op. Everyone's different. I've lost about 22 lbs. in 3 weeks. I've been

working out and can see inches lost and muscle building. My abs. are actually

starting to appear and I have no loose skin. For me, this was the best

decision I've ever made...besides marrying my hubby. Someone said " this too

shall pass " and I use that to get by. The guys I work w/ now make me order

first and eat my leftovers when we go to a restaurant! You have to have a

sense of humor! Sorry I rambled, just keep in mind everyone has different

experiences. If you can post-op I strongly recommend MOVE IT OR LOSE IT!!

Sorry I yelled...good luck everybody!

wt pre-op:272 lbs.

post-op 3/15/00 250lbs.
