Guest guest
I have the Showtime (from the infomercials on TV) and it is used at a minimum of three times a week at my house. Guest guest
Jenna, we have a rotisserie cooker and just love it. The meat comes out soooooo moist. We cook mostly roasts (beef and pork) and chickens. Everything comes out fantastic. Sometimes we cook a roast and cool it off and then slice it real thin for lunches. So much better than the stuff they call roast beef that you purchase in the deli nowadays. It also has baskets that you can cook other things in, but we haven't tried them as of yet. BTW, real easy to clean. in TX 249/224/160 --- " Suplicki, Jenna " wrote: > People who I work with tell me they have a > rotesserie cooker and love it. __________________________________________________
Guest guest
I don't have one, but my sister has the Showtime one as well. She likes it when she uses it, but she really doesn't use it very often. She is a 'gadget girl' like me... we both want all the latest & greatest. But I think that this is one item that she isn't using as much as she thought she would. (She & her husband are doing 'sugarbusters' and have lost all the weight they need to lose.) Guest guest
It's strange that in your signature you mentioned the chickens from the grocery... That is the main reason I got mine! LOL-- It bothered me that they put sugar in their seasoning. Like I said I got it for that reason, but now I use it for all kinds of things... ham, roasts, ribs, fish, shrimp, veggies.... --- Sally Spear wrote: > I don't have one, but my sister has the Showtime one as well. Guest guest
Thanks to everyone who told me about their rotisserie cooker. The people I work with that told me about theirs have the Showtime cooker and say it's absolutely wonderful and I'm sick to death of baking meat and having it very dry, so I think I may call around today to see who has one. Sally - How much weight did your sister and her husband lose on Sugar Busters? My mother in law (76 years old) wants to try that WOE and I bought the book for her. She's going to start this week sometime. Thanks, Jenna
Guest guest
Jenna.... My BIL is 64 years old & has a heart condition. He lost 65+ lbs on sugarbusters/atkins WOE & has kept it off for at least 2 years. His heart doctor is pleased as his cholesterol & triglycerides are great. I'm not sure what the differences are between atkins and sugarbusters.... and I =think= what they did was kind of switch back & forth between the two plans. I shall have to call my sister & ask her. They live in Louisiana & I'm in Nebraska, so I only talk to her once a week or so. My Sister probably only lost about 10-15 lbs... she really didn't need to lose any weight as she has always been 'normal' weight. Actually... even at 65 lbs heavier my BIL didn't look THAT heavy either, as he is 6 ft 5 in tall, so it was waaaay spread out! lol Sally -----Original Message----- From: Suplicki, Jenna Sally - How much weight did your sister and her husband lose on Sugar Busters? Guest guest
I don't worry much about the sugar in the seasonings used on the rotisserie chickens in the store, because I've never developed a taste for chicken skin, so I pull the skin off & give it to the dogs! I suppose some sugar may get thru the skin into the meat, but I doubt it's a significant amount. I've THOUGHT ABOUT getting a rotisserie cooker, but just can't justify it. It would be one more thing sitting out on the counter, and I have a feeling I wouldn't use it as much as you enjoy you use & enjoy yours.
