Babs is a big ebayer. I'm not sure who else is. Right now Babs isn't

feeling well so isn't here. I use to sell on ebay, but don't now.

However, I'll be glad to answer any questions you have if you want to

email them to me. Also, I'll give pointers but will say up front that

sometimes ebay is quite unpredictable and things have sold better and

for more than I expected while others I thought would sell, didn't. I

was amazed at how grandfather clocks sold, for instance, and at the

prices for used oxygen equipment. Meanwhile, Ebay has destroyed the

collectible market on items such as Precious Moments and other similar

items as they don't bring nearly what the books value them at.

Thanks Bruce, I thought I would try it with my Bibles but no two are alike so I don't know how I would go about it.. I'm thinking about it. Hey Peggy...that's an easy one. Describe one / show picture? Then say assorted cover colors. Or do you mean the Bible chapters inside are all different too.

Where in the world did you get enough Bibles to make these? Goodwill or a Thrift Store?

Sure is a creative idea.

Peggy...yes, I can tell you go through many steps. And there is a rather large investment too.

As I said before, I have a project in mind but have to get to Wal-Mart, about 10 miles away for supplies. Geeze, 10 miles. I used to drive farther than that to work and think nothing of it. Now I wait for a "reason" to drive to Wal-Mart. Guess I have one don't I?

Hope you got your mail problems solved!

Love ya.

Bruce,

You hit Ebay right on the head. It is very unpredictable. And as a

gift shop/collectibles retailer who used to sell a lot at good prices

on ebay---I can attest to the fact you make about Precious Moments

and other collectibles. I still love Precious Moments, and wouldn't

part with most of mine, but feel sorry for those people who in years

past spent a lot of money 'investing' in different collectibles

thinking they were going to have something to retire on. I always

tell my customers to " buy what you like & you will always like it, no

matter what it is worth. "

Ebay operates pretty much on the 'supply and demand' theory. Depends

on what people are looking for, how many people are looking for the

same thing, and how many of that thing are for sale at a particular

time.

I must take this opportunity to tell you Bruce that I really enjoy

your humerous posts! You have a quick wit, and the ability to

interject some humor into this serious subject. Not that you're the

only one........ has that knack, as well as several others. It's

kind of the old line of " you can either laugh, or cry....and I'd

rather laugh " when talking about pf. I think that some kind of a

sense of humor can help get you through some of the darkest hours.

So glad that you all are still taking care of each other, and that

the 'newbies' don't feel like newbies very long. They become part of

this very large family that takes care of each other the best they

know how.

All of you give yourselves a pat on the back. ;)
