Jerilyn-- heredity and fibro

I saw the posts talking about heredity and FM. I believe my mother had it but

it was never diagnosed.

I remember a time when I was young that she had " pain all over " and would lay

in the floor and cry. It went on for several weeks and she went to a doctor.

Back then they told her it was just her " nerves " . I suppose that was about the

best it could get back then... the 1970's. I never saw her in that kind of pain

again after that episode. I believe she had fibro but not as severe as mine. I

remember later years when she was working and was " so exhausted " all the time.

I also remember the anxiety she ALWAYS had. (kind of classic with FM).

Yes, I believe there is a hereditary component. I just hope that my children

never have to suffer with this demon.
