Guest guest
I should reintroduce myself. My name is Kellie and I am 27, live in NH and was diagnosed a few months back. I am usually a lurker b/c I have not had the energy to do otherwise. I have been seeing my neuro for about 6 or 7 months with a variety of meds before he made the final diagnosis of fibro. I was born with schizencephaly also just diagnosed and a mild form of cp (spastic hemiplegia) So anyways, he started me with I think requip for my restless legs, helped for a night or two and then no sleep whatsoever. Switched me to I think next was mirapax and cymbalta. Meanwhile I have shoulder surgery so I was a walking pharmacy. Then the mirapex was changed to neurontin. The only thing that has remained is the cymbalta. Still no sleep (and I have a 2 yr old) so then he added some sleep stuff with abe lincoln and ground hog in ad, can't remember but man did that stink it caused major nausea still no sleep so that goes, Then I get lyrica. I thought I was doing okay painwise, but still RLS and insomnia, majorly. Drinking coke zero by the bucketload just to take care of my son. So then My dose of cymbalta goes up, he takes me off Lyrica, and added 1mg of Klonopin at night 60mg of cymbalta in am and 120 mg cymbalta at bed. Helped for 1 night then no sleep. When I did get some sleep it was only because my body physically could not go any longer. So then out goes klonopin and in comes Restoril started at 15mg at night, helped a bit. Well now I am still taking the cymbalta, up to 30mg od Restoril at night and working on noving from 25 to 50 mg of Pamelor and now I am finally sleeping better. But my body is so not used to it I still feel exhausted till noon time ish. I need to figure something for pain during the day though. Today my jaw started hurting (never has before) and when I got home from the store my tail bone was killing ??? weird huh? My left side is my weak spastic side and my muscles are in constant motion. It feels as though they are fighting to break free of my skin. It hurts so bad!!! I feel old. I miss running around and doing the fun things I used to do. > > Judy I was on amitriptyline for 19yrs. and was swithed to lexapro and > ambien.
