OFF TOPIC... my 5 year old's eczema

Just a note. Does anyone know anything that really helps Eczema? My little boy

has had it since he was less than a year old. We have taken him to the

dermatologist and he said " use dove soap and cetaphil cream " ..... It does not

control it. We even had an rx for Elidel once and it would not touch it. Poor

little boy battles this everyday of his life. He thinks it is normal to itch.

The summer time is horrible. He breaks out worse than ever. He will scratch

himself sometimes until he bleeds.

It is better now in the winter for some reason.

We give him a bath with baby oil and use a really good skin cream afterwards.

It helps some but will not keep it at bay all the time. We also give him a dose

of childrens Claritin in the mornings and a small dose of children's benadryl at

night. We have also used Aveeno baths.
