Sorry to just jump in here, but the hot red cheeks caught my attention.

samantha gets this ALOT. For no reason, her cheeks will become flaiming hot

red. She has done this as long as I can remember. Her neuro suggested that

it could be part of dysautonomia, and her bp may be up at that time. and

recently when her face would get red, her bp would be up. For no reason

ofcourse. But today she did it and her bp was actually lower than her norm.

So I have no idea. As with the teeth, never put those two together. Just

wanted to share that sam also gets this strange red rash. It goes from her

cheek bones all along sides of cheeks and under her chin. Like a big wide U.

Hmmmm, wonder if this is another mito thing.

We just started noticing the red, hot cheeks on Chelsea with her 2 top front

teeth coming in over a month ago. It did seem to coincide with seizures. It

was like this again mon and tues, but now she is fine.

I have also wondered if she is having some autonomic problems. We started to

see purple, cold feet this summer, which seemed to be positional (her feet

would turn purple when they are dangling below her). Another thing I have

noticed is that previous fall/winter, I would have to be careful how I

dressed her, as she easily overheated. This year, she often feels cold,

especially her feet. She feels cold in sweats that last year made her hot. I

also think her size may be a factor in this issue. She is now 50lbs and 43

1/2 " and still gaining!

Sam's rash sounds strange. How long does it last? Does her skin become

inflammed? I don't know if autonomic dysfunction can cause rashes, but I

definitely know autoimmune dysfunction can. There is also contact dermatitis

which is acquired reaction to chemicals usually found in household products

like detergents and tooth paste.

I was just thinking about this a few minutes ago... has two circular dry-looking patches by his mouth...each one is the size of a dime...the pediatrician told me what to try on it...then iwas remember that Mattie Stepanek is in the hospital again for a sore on his head... wondering how that would be linked to mito...anyone know??
