Guest guest
This is my first time on the computer all day. I didn't worry about it though because I figured and hoped you would update the gang. I think when I first tried calling Joyce this morning she was on the phone w/ you because it was busy. I did talk to her after that. She said she didn't get to her room last night until after 8:30 so that's why it just rang and rang. This morning my son's ear check went fine. After that I stopped by the hospital to do a blood type test for me. The transplant team called me and they said that they needed a second blood typing (they usually do a second one w/ the heart cath, but I didn't have one so I needed to get one done). Driving home from the hospital I spoke to Joyce. She gave me the same update. The only other details I can give is that Joyce told me that they did test the pressures and they were way down so that speaks well of the Flolan treatments. She cracked me up because she said w/ the new stent in and some more improvement in pressures she should be " skipping " around soon. I said " skipping " huh, I gotta see that. She said oh, ya there were still those sick lungs to contend w/. I am really glad they are going to take care of her teeth while she's in there and before moving the picc line. I spent the time while my house was being cleaned, outside on my deck w/ my son. We had 74 degrees, sunny and just a splendid day. We had lunch, blew bubbles, bird watched w/ binoculars and bird books and played w/ a beach ball. We hung out, relaxed, played and just soaked up the springtime and the time together. After that the house was clean and we napped before picking up my daughter from school. She was so proud to hand me a notice that she won an award for art and has a special presentation ceremony next Wednesday night. After that we did a little shopping for her classroom, for prizes for a special spring festival and for a student teacher's going away party. We then did homework out on the deck, had dinner, went to soccer practice and then home to bathe the kids and put them to bed. Now is it clear why I'm just now online. Besides having my normal morning coughing and really struggling to get going this morning, I had a bonus second coughing fit on the way to practice. Those pesky moments aside it was a good, productive and really enjoyable day. Thank goodness for spring. I logged on and saw Gwynne's update and wow, that is soooo awesome, awesome, awesome. I needed to make sure you did a Joyce update. And I'll tell ya, I'm probably a week behind in posts and I just don't have the energy to read. I'll try to do some catching up tomorrow. Good night all!
