Night Shift Rant

Hey all, here's my late night rant. Today

was rather uneventful. This afternoon I

collected the twins at school (they stayed after) and then collected my friend’s

three kids and took them home and ‘sat’ with them for 4 hours.

I

did talk to the HR manager at my work today but it wasn’t anything drastic. He

wanted to have me come in

to discuss me returning to work because of the Unum decision that I’m not

sick. I sent him an email on the 2nd

saying my doctor says I am still sick. He

said, “So Unum said you aren’t sick and your doctor says you are and won’t

release you to return to work.” I told

him, “Yep, that’s what I’m caught between.”

He asked me what was next; I told him I have a lawyer that’s looking

into challenging the Unum decision but I don’t know anything other than

that. He said ok. End of discussion. Weird.

I

also collected stuff to send to that lawyer but I didn’t get it in the mail

yet. I want to give him as much as I can

so that he can see how strong my case really is. I need to sit down and put

some notes on the

stuff I have collected. So I probably

will get the whole thing in the mail late tomorrow or Friday.

I’m

tired and sore all over but otherwise doing alright. It’s so cold and still

snowing off and on so

I think that’s the best I can expect for a while.

Question: Do any of you feel very weak at times? Like walking across a parking

lot it feels

like your legs might not hold you? Like you wish you had something to lean on

while you walk?

I’ve

been reading about myositis and I’m afraid I might have it also. I'm trying to

figure out if the weakness, and tingling and 'jolts' are part of Lupus and/or

Fibro or are they something else? I always forget to tell the doctor about the

jolts. It's like an electric shock and my body jerks really hard. Most the

time its centered in my back; but sometimes its just an arm or leg. I am NOT

hoping for another disease; but wondering if there is anything additional that

could be done about it. For the most part its harmless except for that weakness

feeling. So I guess its not a big deal. But I sure would like to shake the

weakness so I could take my dogs for a walk. Right now I'd be winded one house

down the street!

I’m also concerned about my daughter as her

rash is NOT going away. When she gets

upset it turns bright red and starts itching like crazy. When she’s calm it’s

lighter and itches less

but nothing is making it go away. I

still think she needs a round of steroids.

The GP said he’s had to hospitalize people for a stress rash and he

thought that’s what hers looked like. He

and the Rheum said to try a derm next.

So I need to find one for her. I

hope its nothing more serious than a stress rash; but she does have joint pain

and pain all over; usually the same time mine is worse. Unless its sympathy

pains or growing

pains. She also has sun

sensitivity. But she came up negative

for Lupus and RA. Although she was

positive for mono and Epstein-barr; but the doctors said she was getting over

those; so she had them in the past. She

did go through hell though with the dying/not-dead boyfriend thing and her best

friend being hurt. Then the best friend

moved away and that was the 2nd closest friend to move in 3

months. So she went through all this

hell and lost her support system at the same time. Plus she was sick recently

with both mono and

eb and we didn’t know it so she had no treatments for that; her body fought

them off on its own. GEEEZ, no wonder

she has a stress rash.

OK

I’m ranting like endlessly here… I’ll

shut up now and go to bed.
