Guest guest
, You did a good thing, you probably taught the young Dr. the best lesson he has ever had in bedside manner and checking a patients chart. I'm proud of you and glad you can go back to rehab. Take care of you and "Happy Passover to YOU" Love and Prayers, PeggyIPF 2004, Florida"Worry looks around, Sorry looks back, Faith looks up." Hello to all and Happy Passover!I just wanted to post about my latest doctor appointment. As you know I've been battling Vertigo for several weeks and have gone to my PC doc and then to PT and then PT wanted me cleared for Vestibular Vertigo Rehab. That's the position related vertigo. So I went to see my usual ENT. He had a 4th year medical student in the office andthat student started my exam with many questions. One of his comments was ( and I'm sort of quoting)With your COPD do you often get dizzy?Well, I really gave it to him with both barrels...I said that as a doctor he should not ever assume the need for ozygen!I told him I found it offensive that he's just assumed without simply asking" May I ask why you need the O2?"I told him that if he had read the medication list I had supplied and the medical conditon sheet that I had updated in the charthe would have seen my DX of NSIP.When the main guy walked in I told him about his student's error in judgment. I figure if he's teaching him, so am I.The ENT did not make any excuses but the tension in the room was palpable!!!So, I do have Benign Vestibular Vertigo and I can go to PT again!!Happy week-end to everyone.-- Z 64, fibriotic NSIP/o5/PAAnd “mild” PH/10/07 and Reynaud’s too!!No, NSIP was not self-inflicted…I never smoked!Potter, reader, carousel lover and MomMom to Darahand Sara “I’m gonna be iron like a lion in Zion” Bob Marley

Guest guest
Z...... I sit and shake my head as I read so many posts from across the country and pond telling of how we must be our best advocate. I'm glad you're heading back to PT again too. I start again May 1. I'm anxious to go..... Does type of Vertigo go away eventually? Mama-Sher, age 69.IPF 3/06, NSIP 4/08 OR. Don't fret about tomorrow, God is already there! DOCTORS WITH NO CLUE!! Guest guest
Sher, I'm going back to the PT that is specifically for the Vertigo. It is supposed to teach me how to get my head adapted to the movements that are causing me to feel so unbalanced. Once my balance issues resolve it's back to the treadmill and the Y!! I really miss the exercise activity . I can't drive either!. Mike is doing all the driving to the appointments and PT. His golf schedule is sort of on hold...he did play today...it was 83 degrees here and gorgeous. Z fibriotic NSIP/05 Z 64, fibriotic NSIP/o5/PA And “mild” PH/10/07 and Reynaud’s too!!
