Guest guest
Leanne/Sher That just reminded me that when I was at the UTSW transplant center this week, I told the pulmonologist about our find of $65 oximeters that were FDA approved and how many had gotten them and they checked out with their doctor's office oximeters. He looked shocked and then his face lit up with excitement and he quickly mentioned someone in his department that he was going to have to tell about that so patients could be informed. He was even surprised that you could get the Nonin for $240. Obviously, they pay much more for the same exact oximeter going through hospital suppliers. I must point out that he did totally agree with the importance of us having them. > > Sher, > > Very Proud of you and your getting on the treadmill!! Keep up the good work. Exercise is so important, but sometimes so hard to do especially for the SOB..... Anyone who exercises be sure to check with your doctor if it's ok. We certainly don't want people to be exercising and having their saturation dropping...A very good reason for pulmonary fibrosis patients to have pulse oximeters. The only way I feel safe is knowing where my saturation is at all times when exercising. > > Leanne > > > --------------------------------- > Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Yahoo!
