Hi Crew and especially Rosemary, I want to inform you of what I just read about on Pub Med and look up under Pub Med the topic Meningioma Treatment then look for this article under the year 2002 . Planta Med 2002 May;68(5):397-401 Cytotoxic Action of acetyl-11-keto-beta Boswellic acid(AKBA) on meningioma cells It seems to be a very potent inhibitor of meningioma cells and you can buy it in the health food store Tev

Hey Tev, Do you remember that person from near Boston, some naturapath with

a child with Nf1??? He was treating his NF1 child with frankincense, and so

far no tumors. well, I think frankincense is derived from boswellia. Shall

look up more. R

Hi Marcus ,I do not know if there is a downside but from what I ve read they

havent discovered the downside yet and they did discover the positive side of

controlling meningiomas .Tev You know growing meningiomas is

dangerous you know . I Sort of think the risk maybe worth it if the

meningiomas are gorwing multiply and agressively .Tev same with Hydroxyurea

Hello; If you are asking about a "down side' in reference to adverse effects; It seems to me thet re: RFA, the dowm side would be if someone were trying to save a nerve incased in the tumor. Rosemary; Was it you who mentioned 'benign tumors' as well. Re: The alternative herbal Tx for meningioma, everyone reacts differently, + or - outcomes and side effects. I still trust the FDA alittle for release of different things but they have not been released to take in mega doses if so required. Am I making any sense M ?

I have read that of all brain tumors meningiomas are childs play, easier to

remove, less threatening. wish it were true for nf2. I read a dr oncesay of all

his nf2 patients who died it was from multiple meningiomas in the head.

; I think you to mean NF-2 meningiomas are easier to treat, or, are you being factious? On another list , meningiomas were down played as almost child's play and that didn't seem right. I felt sorry for that patient. Do take care (smile) Russ
