Guest guest
if you use a HA consider yourself lucky, most of us are total deaf from nerve being cut, aids do not work. Guest guest
Yes as my hearing sailed into the sunset I got stronger aids on a weekly basis. ( I made a friend in the OZ government to do this ) Ended up with a turbo diesel model with a handy ZIP start cord and detachable can opener. Couldn't hear a sound over my teeth rattling. ----- Original Message ----- > if you use a HA consider yourself lucky, most of us are total deaf from > nerve being cut, aids do not work. Guest guest
I'm in the process of trying to get my hearing aid programmed the way I want it - the computer's default 'match' for my audiogram doesn't work as well for me as some of the tweaks that I'm trying. But I don't have a volume control wheel (or any controls at all, except for the T-switch), so I can't adjust the sound level on the fly. My audiologist seems to think it's perfectly normal to change the program to suit individual preferences, rather than getting used to a default sound that's not working for you. Have fun experimenting! Gillian hearing aids > Hi! Guest guest
My hearing nerve is gone on the right side. I have nerve deafness almost total on the left. An HA amplifies the enviromental sounds so doors slamming and dogs barking are really loud, but voices are still garbled and unrecognisable, just louder:). I know your talking but ive no clue to what your saying~~Lowi Re: hearing aids > if you use a HA consider yourself lucky, most of us are total deaf from > nerve being cut, aids do not work. > > Russ Korte wrote: > > > Hi! Guest guest
I can't use the default either. Everything sounds soooo tinny and hard to understand. I had then adjusted to MY specs and they are just fine. Mikey A hearing aids > > > > Hi!
