Guest guest
Note to all,The " Grouply " link posts are NOT allowed on this group! Do not submitinvites or use that address to post. Important: Any members using Grouply are being removed. Please rejoin using a non-third party email address.GrouplyIf any single person in our group became a GROUPLY member, then all ofour personal info could be exposed to the world. I think it isimperative that we all be aware of this in all groups we belong to, especially where our children's info could be exposed to the world. When a person joins Grouply, they provide their user name and passwordto Grouply, allowing Grouply to access and manage all the user's groups, and Grouply apparently archives all messages from the groupmembers' groups. Also, when a person joins Grouply, the program takesall of the account info, overrides membership to their Grouply Address, which becomes <your Id>@Grouply. com. In doingthis, Grouply overrides email so that all emails go to them. According to moderators there are unfortunate consequences forallowing Grouply to manage groups, which affect EVERYONE on ANYgroup a member belongs to. Changing over to Grouply results in thefollowing problems: 1. Your ID can be used to send spam to numerous groups;2. ALL Grouply members can have unlimited access to ALL groups thatmembers belong to without joining those groups by viewing " similar " groups. ** THIS MEANS ANYTHING VIEWED BY ANY GROUPLY MEMBER CAN BEVIEWED BY OTHER GROUPLY MEMBERS!!Quoted from the Moms writers Group: " When a Grouply memberclicks on another Grouply member who has chosen to share their groups,(these other people will show up on a page of " people with similar interests " ), they then have the ability to click the link for a group that the other person belongs to (that they do NOT belong to,even if it is a restricted or private group), gaining fullaccess to messages -- even the archives -- and are able to look around the group's page. " -- This includes PRIVATE files sections, sections in groups that are only supposed to be accessible by groupmembers, AND, everyone's email addresses in that group can beharvested. This means ANYONE, at ANY TIME, can access group info through a Grouply member's 'shared' profile by looking at " recentlyviewed messages " viewed by any member!3.
