Hi ,

Are you on the AP? I don't know if it was the minocin or the herxeimer but I

experienced some periods of oversensitivity and crying. I found that having my

best friend to " vent " to really helped a lot and kept me sane. If he wasn't

around I wrote everything down that was stressing me out and then ripped it up

and threw it out. It helped. I found Judith Orfloff's book Positive Energy

helpful as well. Good luck and hang in there! These periods seem to come and

go...

Sounds to me like you are just normal. In the stress of everyday life most

of us have our ups and downs, us ladies seem to feel emotional rollercoasters

more strongly than most men. Sometimes an event triggers events, sometimes

it plain old hormones For me when I seem to get tearful for no apparent

reason I bake a batch of cookies (comfort food) rev up my expresso machine and

pour out a double latte and curl up with a really good mystery. Turn off all

the noisy televisions, radios etc and just let the quiet seep in and renew.

Plus if my mouth is full of cookies, I cant say anything nasty to one of my

kids or spouse that I will regret later!!! Martha

Awwwww Andy, I am so sorry. I have had those problems as well. Go

talk to your doctor and see what he/she says. Than take their

educated opinion and decide on the options they give you. I don't

know the answer. I am trying DLPA now and so far so good. It is so

miserable when your emotions seem to own you and they do when you

can't control them. I feel for you so much.

(((((((((((((Andy)))))))))))

Please stay in touch with the group. Call that doctor! Tell them it

is urgent! Don't put this off!

Hello Andy,

I am exactly the same way that you are describing. Up one minute, down the next. Its driving me crazy and my boyfriend too! I have tried all of the anti depressant meds and none seem to help. I am taking DLPA (must get Solaray brand) only one a day. I can tell a difference with it, but I think that it truly is also just the nature of the disease. It is depressing. It is hard to want to do things so bad, and you can't do them. I am tired of it. I have had MS for 15 years, and you think I'd be used to it, but it doesn't get easier. I would love to have a child, I really would but I'm afraid of bringing someone else into a messy situation. I tried DLPA in desperation and it did help, I feel much better. But I also think that my diet has alot to do with it. I am going to go to a nutritionist. I just have to find a good one.

I am there with you,
