Guest guest
Ok, I know I'm a little odd..but... I am finding that when I am craving things, sometimes the smell and a replacement food will work just as well as the more unhealthy food I would prefer to avoid, don't feel deprived, craving satisfied without even having feelings of guilt to work through. For example, I can stick my head in and inhale the bag of salt and vinegar potato chips, but, instead of eating the whole bag, I can eat a couple vegies from the jarred giardiniera. Or, instead of eating a bunch of chocolate, I can inhale dark chocolate with orange bar/truffle and eat an orange. Or, instead of bacon, I can inhale (and drink) maple bacon flavored coffee. So, it seems like, for me, for some things at least, when I am craving a food, I can get whatever gain it is my body/mind is telling me it wants through primarily smell. Weird of is this normal? - Georgia
