First of all, thanks so much for your honesty. I have been doing the IE process

for about a year and a half. I see an IE nutritionist too. I have asked her

that same question--how do I stop. Some suggestions she gave me are to count to

10 and breathe. Also keeping a journal with me, calling a friend, or just taking

a moment to stop and check in with myself. Sometimes these have worked and

sometimes, yes going to the food has seemed like the only option. She reminds

me tho that even when I have gone to the food, I learn something more, deeper

about myself, and she is right, and the most important thing has been having

compassion for myself. I find that when i beat myself up, it only makes me want

to act out even more. Hang in there. You are not alone.

Laurie
