Guest guest
Yes you can still use it. Yes they are going to keep it updated. It is so much better than Vista for so many reasons that Microsoft has done the unthinkable and left it on the shelves. Usually the new thing comes out and the old thing goes away in about 6 months or so. But not this time. Because, as I stated earlier, Vista is crap. XP is very stable and has most hardware drivers built in. It is compatible with most software on the market. I only use XP in my network at work. I still recommend to people purchasing new computers that they only purchase with XP. At some point there will be the next generation following Vista and hopefully they will take all the cool stuff Vista is supposed to do and pull back in the stability of XP and 2000 but they aren't there yet. And Microsoft still sucks. S, Lubbock, TX NSIP w/PF 12/2006 > > > > > > My goodness so many talented people . Joke telling picture s > movies , > > Maybe i can get a little help here ? Guest guest
Hopefully they've learned their lesson and Windows 7 (current code name) will be more of the quality of XP. Word is that they will support XP until it comes out and I wouldn't be surprised to see them change and agree to keep XP on shelf until then...time will tell. Now the question to ask and I have no idea. Was this (1) a miscalculation as to response if they stopped selling XP or (2) really floating something as a plan to see the response and, at worst, boost some XP sales and get some attention, then agree to do what the public wanted, and meanwhile work on Windows 7. > > > > > > > > > My goodness so many talented people . Guest guest
S...... thanks for the MS update. I've never had Vista....upgraded to XP when it came out and still have it. I've never ever seen storms as I saw in Longview TX when I lived there for four years........you're right on......softball size hail, and thunder that sounds like the earth had split! I'll take my milder weather here in Oregon, thanks!....When I was new to TX I was terrified of tornados....everyone said,"Oh we've never had a tornado here in Longview".........well, you know whose apt got blasted! Tore the roof nearly off. Another time the kids and I crawled under the house in a raging hail storm and tornado alerts. I'm really glad to be out of TX. Talk to ya later.
