Subject: catching up

hi all

i have just finally caught up on all the digests.

i have been out three full days this week dress

hunting for the wedding and no gwynne, i dont have

it yet.

i have started to look for a dress maker. most of

the stock in the shops is the same. sleeveless.

i bought a white jacket on monday that i love and

will probably use as in scotland you can't rely on

the weather being warm enough.

on wednesday i shopped myself in sauchiehall st.

i had a look in tk max and as i was about to enter

this american lady told me that you had them all over

the states. in fact on wednesday i kept hearing

american accents - at least three times. i took six

dresses into the changing room and tried on four.

after that i was too tired. i then went to john lewis

and luckily didnt see anything i wanted to try on as

i didnt have much energy left.

on friday my neice came with me and i looked in

buchanan st. this street is full of designer boutiques

as well as frasers. so i have done the discount designer

places, the designer boutiques, the upmarket stores with

their many concessions and nada.

last night i was browsing and googling and came across

a dress in jc penny's that cost 80 dllrs reduced to 60

and i love it. they dont ship to the uk and i can't

really see what the material is like so i have printed

it off and will investigate finding a dress maker who

can reproduce.

i always read something every day so not doing so over

the last few days has made me feel disconnected.

gwynne

i am so happy to hear about the proposal...........omg

how exciting, what an event to look forward to. you

sound as if you are going from strength to strength and

being a very good patient. who cares about the colour

of your hair. you look so happy in the photos.

irene

i am very sorry this happened. i know nothing's solved but

there must have been a reason for this abandonment of the

surgery. you say you aren't going for follow up but irene,

you just dont have a choice. give yourself some time and

find an advocate of some kind but dont give up on getting

medical help.

denise

i hope you are all settled in your new home now and i'm

sure your boys will have ensured you took it easy.

sher

i'm am so curious to know about your project. please tell

me. i promise not to tell anyone. good luck with your

new position.

May....sorry, my lips are sealed! I ain't a-tellin' nobody nothin' 'till it's finished!

Don't hold your breath tho'....it's taking longer than I thought it would. lol

Sure hope you find a dress soon. Do you have friends in the states who could receive the dress and send it on to you???

thats a very kind offer and i may take you up on it

but rosanna has talked to a girl she knows who is

a dress maker - theatre and weddings. i will check

this lady out (prices etc) first.

when you see an item in penny's there is a way to email

it to yourself and that is what i did. i have forwarded

this email to you and the dressmaker. i want fuschia

pink. what do you think of it. is it too plain?

i really like it and if the girl makes it, being 5ft 2in

it will be the perfect length for me.
