Guest guest
Dear Rene Rp can cause problems with eyes but so can Prednisolone. The Rp gave me iritis and Pred is used to control that. The Pred gave me cataracts. I also have glaucoma and damage to my retina. All these problems have arrived since RP. I think it would be wise to have your eyes checked. Believe me it is very scary to contemplate life without your sight. Guest guest
Dear Lu I was born and breed here in Australia. I live in Bendigo in the state of , which is at the bottom of mainland Australia. It is about a 12 hour drive from here to Sydney where the Olympics are being held. The distance and my health means I won't be attending but watching on TV. Australia is beautiful and diverse and if anyone wants to come over I have a spare room. Guest guest
Hi Ros, I remember you telling us how bad and quickly the RP had attacked you, but thanks for reminding me again what a very brave soul you really are. I can't begin to imagine what you went through and I'm really not too sure I would not have just given up completely if it had been me. I do admire your courage and strength Ros. Really!!!! I'm glad we got that all cleared up too. I'd never do anything to hurt or upset anyone on this list. You are all part of my extended family and I think the world of all of you. (Even Roy!!! LOL) Now, explain to me one thing girl. Why do you have your reminder thingy to count your blessings in the bathroom???? LOL Love ya Ros, BTW-Shari, Ros's case is the exception to the RP rule, not the norm. I'm sure she'll tell you this too. So please don't get scared or upset over what she's said here. RP seems to attack everyone differently. Some have only mild cases of it forever, some even go into complete remission. Just don't let this scare you. Like everyone else's has said, knowledge is power especially concerning RP. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Hi , Ros here. I just wanted to say I was not offended by your opinions the other day. I just jumped in and gave mine. It is so hard with the email not to offend people. There is no voice, body language or smiles to help with communication. I thought it might help you to understand where some of my comments come from. To do that I need to give you a little of my history. day 1 Sore back day 3 can not get out of bed do not go to work ever again 3 weeks later, Rp is raging through my entire body, I am in agonising pain, can not sit up or hold a cup of coffee. I remained in this condition for 10 months while the doctors tried to work out what is wrong. 10 months after the back pain began I had a tracheostomy, stents, spinal deformity, hearing loss, joint damage etc, etc, etc. The centre I attend for rehab offers pain management, stressss managment and trauma councilling. I have trauma councilling as my life was wipped out over night. (I have never had a red swollen ear.) I hope this helps you understand me a little better. I am a very positive person as a rule and I do count the blessings in my life daily. ( it says to on the back of my toilet door, so I can't miss it) Ros
