Another Post-Photoderm Flare?

Hi gang--

OK, I'm really happy w/what photoderm has been doing

for the redness and flushing, but, man, the last 2

treatments have really irritated my skin! I know the

last time I made it worse by trying a new cleanser,

but this time, I haven't changed anything (except that

I'm just splashing w/water at nite rather than washing

to prevent exacerbating the problem) and am still

taking the minocycline. I'm not flaring like I did

last time, but I'm defintiely having a " mini-flare. " A

few extra bumps and bright red across my cheeks and

redder than usual on my chin and forehead. Also really

blothcy. It feels really tight, too, and stings--like

a cross b/n a sunburn and the chlorine burns I used to

get when I was a kid from swimming everyday. I know

that I was treated more superficially again this time,

so that's probably why it's so uncomfortable.

I guess the first treatment spoiled me--I had

absolutely no problems afterwards. I know lots of you

get some swelling and bruising after photoderm, but

anyone ever feel like they're flaring after a

treatment? This is how it played out for me last time,

too, though it was more severe then--fine for about

24-36 hrs after treatment, then a lot of irritation,

inflammation, and redness that gets progressively

worse over the next 48-72 hrs. Last time, after more

than a week of flaring, it vanished quickly and

dramatically w/in a few days. I've only been taking a

B-complex, zinc, and acidophilus, so maybe adding the

GSE, ester-C, and MSM will help. I'm trying not to

whine, but obviously not trying hard enough. Thanks

for giving me a place to vent...
