Guest guest
 In reply to Alana's post re OA, I went to what will probably be my last OA meeting yesterday. I too see a shift in obsession from the food to the program by OA members. Although I think the 12 step program is quite a good program for living I don't want to be obsessed with anything anymore. I'm really tired of living in disfunction of any kind and as you put it so well Alana, I want to reach out for all life has to offer rather than abstaining from this and abstaining from that. I have been taking care of myself better these days...walking every day and doing a crossword every day to keep the old brain sharp. I've been looking for ways to make my food healthier rather than restricted. I live near Vancouver, BC and have now been in touch with a psychologist who runs workshops based on IE principles. She's going on maternity leave until Spring but will be running another series of workshops when she comes back so I'm looking forward to that. Thanks to all who responded to my request for input on OA. I think this is the place I belong. Bonnie
