Guest guest
Niacinnamide is usually substituted for niacin in a multivitamin. Niacinnamide doesn't cause flushing the way niacin does.
Guest guest
Actually, you can find many different brands of multi-vitamins that substitute niacinamide for niacin--this seems to prevent the flushing response in most people. You'll have to read the labels carefully to determine which version is in the multi you choose. I don't take a multi, but I do take a B-complex (Natrol's My Favorite B-Complex) which doesn't make me flush. They also have a multi in the same product line. Good luck... --- Barb Zappia wrote: > > What multi vitamins do people take with out niacin. > Is there such a > thing? do you all even worry about the niacin in the > multi ? > > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------ > Please read the list highlights thoroughly before > posting to the whole group. > see http://ii.net/~dp/rosacea/toc.html > > To leave the list send an email to > rosacea-support-unsubscribeegroups > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------ > > eGroups.com home: > /group/rosacea-support > - Simplifying group > communications > > > > __________________________________________________
Guest guest
Barb, I take one generic multi-vitamin/multi-mineral tab each day. Each tab contains 20mg of Niacin. I do not flush from this amount of Niacin, and I flush very easily. Most multi-vitamins contain either 20mg or 40mg of Niacin. I chose a brand with 20mg, and have had no problems.
