Guest guest
To support group list: I was wondering if you had ever heard of using laser treatment for combination seb/derm and rosacea. My derm suggested it to me this morning because my condition has worsened recently. He gave me a brochure on the one he uses - PhotoGenica V and the process is photothermolysis. He said it would stimulate the blood vessels and get the blood moving again and would lighten the skin. He also said that the recovery time can be up to 2 weeks with a purple face and 3 months with a very tan and maybe blotchy face. Sounds kind of risky to me. Any thoughts? How does it differ from photoderm treatments? Do most dermatologists know about photoderm? How many dermatologists do it? Thank you for your time.
