Thanks Christi....but you know what the Doctor said....

Well, Reglan either helps some people or it doesn't....

How's that for an answer...obviously I do not go to HER anymore.....

Besides, have you heard of Zelnorm for IBS ??? Well, I took it faithfully

for 2-3 years from the same doctor.....

It was taken off the market by the F.D.A. as it also had BAD side

effects....guess what ???

The same Doctor never even called me to tell me to stop taking it!!!! How do

you like that!!!

Does no good to sue....the only one that makes any money on the deal is the

ATTORNEY !!!!

Thanks for support..you take care too...

Thanks for the warning .

I have taken Reglan for years and never had that kind of problem.

Only take it at night now for my reflux problem.

First of all let me say that I agree; you need to find a new doctor. This one

sounds inefficient. My doctors always try to figure out if a new medication

will go with the dozen I already take.

However I wanted to ask; what did you say to the doctor when he/she said " well

it either works or it doesn't " ? I know I'd say, " What does that mean? "

Sometimes I think we get stupid answers maybe when the doctor is thinking. In

my case, they are often trying to remember the 10 other Rx's I'm already on and

that I'm allergic to. I think I get a " half-assed " answer while they are

stalling to let their brain process. I'm NOT saying that its right, but they

don't seem to get taught communication skills.

I'm sorry the doctor didn't notify you to quit taking the med that was taken off

the market. In the doctor's defense though - do you know how their office is

run? I know mine relies on paper files. They have about 12 doctors in 3

different types of practices (ped, gyn, and family). They only use their

computer system to track where the files are physically, and the accounting

stuff. They would have to go manually through every one of those files.

However, your pharmacist will know the minute you try to refill the Rx.

My Rh does have medical records in a computer system. However, there is limited

indexing of the fields. Indexing is what would allow them to sort the records

by a certain field; ie.. the medication you are on. Technology has this

capability; but every extra feature generally has a price tag associated to it.

Hopefully one day all our records will be in a national database that our

fingerprint could call up. There are a whole bunch of medical records from

years ago I wouldn't even know how to start looking for. I don't even remember

the names of doctors I saw 10-15-20 years ago. I wish it were easier to keep

things together.
