Jim,

I think you are right but I would rather think it is my head instead of the

" deterioration " of

my lungs the doc keeps talking about.

I did fly to AZ with no problems, I have an Inogen POC. However there were many

problems with my return flight, 13 hours from walking into PHX airport and

arriving at

SeaTac. There weren't always wheelchairs available when we had to change gates 3

or 4

times. We were quite a distance from restrooms and places to purchase food or

beverages, I ran out of O2 several times. What made it worse was I was flying

home by

myself. Anyway, I was home 5 days, started getting sick. Went to doc 2 days

later, Xray

and dx pneumonia. This was 3rd time in 7 months. Finished up 14 days Levaquin

upped

pred to 60, back down to 10. I checked with Dr. last week, she listened and we

did a short

little walk up and down the hall and she said sats too low (I actually knew this

but was still

hoping). Anyway my 5 lpm POC isn't fitting the bill anymore. The question is

whether this

may be a temporary set back due to the infections or it is permanent due to the

condition

worsening with additional scarring from the infections.

Next week I see Dr. Raghu at U of W medical center and then I see my local lung

doc 2

weeks later. Between the 2 of them I'll have the full set of pfts, 6 minute

walk, etc. So I'm

hoping head and body will both be better.

I loved the long days, not so crazy about the short ones!
