Guest guest
Oh, Man it looks like you all had a great time. Bruce, you are beautiful!!!! No more serious mug shots for you. You are a had dad. Ok we are going to head for Chicago on the 13th. We need to know what all we need as far as O2. I don't think we will be staying over night unless we get out of there late and don't feel like the drive home. We will take R2D2 just incase we do stay over night. Maybe we need to go back to pressed air for the trip. Thanks you guys. K IllinoisPeggy wrote: Take a peek at the San fun... So Sorry everyone wasn't here. Guest guest
Sher Fared just fine and it was wonderful. Not only got to meet Leanne again and Peggy and Jane and Gordon and Jon but Mike and and Eddie and Debbie and Teri too and all of Jon and Teri's family and and her family and friend and two other members of the caregivers group. Its just amazing to have all the incredible friends here and then to meet them in person and meet the spouses and even kids and even grandkids. I get home and asked how it was and I say incredible and someone then says what did you do and its basically talked and ate....oh yes we took a riverwalk cruise and saw some of the scenery but thats not at all what it was about. I can assure you too that all of you were with us, in our thoughts and hearts. Oh, and Lojack better get busy because I am going to challenge her for most trips and seeing the most members. Maybe I'm a tad prejudiced but we are the best family you could ever hope to find. And the families of our family are quite special too. It's hard to be angry about the disease when I think about how many wonderful people I know that I otherwise never would have. Guess too that now we're home will still see Leanne, Peggy and Jane here all the time, Gordon if he ever stays home long enough, but sure will miss talking to Mike, , Eddie, Debbie, and Teri and Jon Teri's children and grandchildren. Its like the week before, still see Wally and here but not Wally's family and friends and 's friends who were mine within the course of one evening. > > Peggy! Peggy! Peggy! Guest guest
Hi everybody! Wow the pictures look great and now we know that Bruce can smile!!! I'm getting ready to scoot out of my sisters this morning and start home. I had a wonderful fun family filled weekend and I'm happy and exhausted with the emphasis on HAPPY! And I agree with Bruce...as much as I hate this disease I can't regret the blessings it has brought me and chief among them are all of you! Beth Age 48 Fibrotic NSIP 06/06 Change everything. Guest guest
Sher Oh I know the affording thing. I'm scheduled to the absolute limit of what I can afford and I'm sure many outside this board would question using what little money I do have on these trips but they don't understand at all what I'm gaining nor what I consciously chose to forego in order to do this. Oh if I could afford, I'd be in Oregon and then California and everywhere else. I'm so happy to see the Oregon group meet coming together. Everything you think it will be, it will be more. Thats the thing that we all can't go everywhere we want but whether its meeting a single person for lunch or many for a weekend, its so special. I see the relationship formed between , , and Don from their lunch together and what it means to them all but especially Don who now has one person he actually knows and can relate to. For ages Gwynne was the only one i'd ever met with the disease and shockingly I was the first with IPF she'd met in spite of being part of the UTSW transplant program. Now she was so much more advanced I know it didn't help her nearly as much as it did me. But, I learned so much from just being with her, nothing said as much as that observed and felt. I regret not staying somehow and additional day in Chicago area and meeting Fay and others I might have found. But all my travels will be sprinkled with members along the way. Next trip I get to see Jane and Eddie again and meet and I get to meet Beth. I know if I make it to Disneyworld later this year, I will get to see and Peggy. I sure know a group of people I'd see in the Pacific Northwest, especially you. > > > > Peggy! Peggy! Peggy! The pictures are great and look at that smilen' > Bruce....OMG.
