Aren't they harmful too? The current textbooks on digestion still claim that hormones do not survive protein reduction to amino acids in the stomach. However, given the poor state of digestion in most individuals, and prevalence of " leaky gut " (intestinal permeability) due to imflammatory reactions in the small intestine from eating non-biologically correct foods (grain, etc.), some peptides and whole proteins probably are entering the bloodstream; not good. And how > are they different from horse derived hormones used for HRT, aside from > risks of manipulating individual hormones? Specific hormone taken on specific dosing schedule, taken on empty stomach to bypass protein splitting in stomach (passes throught to intestine due to too little stimulus for acid production and due to unsuppressed motility (low volume food mass)).
